Xtreme Velocity (XV) Motorsports was founded on the idea of taking the classic musclecar to an entirely new level, while remaining true to what makes them most exciting... in essence, re-inventing the category.

Our concept idled for several years while undergoing development, evaluation and scrutiny. Once we defined all of the requirements necessary to fulfill that concept, we had no choice but to commit fully. And once the decision was made to see it through, the project literally took on a life of its own. The overwhelming positive response and enthusiasm from the list of accomplished industry professionals who chose to become involved was no less than amazing. We've never looked back.

XV Motorsports was the brainchild of John Buscema, founder of the Company. John has been obsessed with cars all of his life, especially very fast ones. He built his first engine at sixteen and has had many fast cars over the years from GM, Ford, Chrysler and European manufacturers, few of which stayed stock for very long.

John is best known in the automotive world for his 205 MPH 1997 Mustang Cobra, which he campaigned in the Unlimited Division of many open road races like the Silver State Classic and the Pony Express. These races were very high speed events held on closed sections of public highways in Nevada and Texas, typically between 80 and 120 miles in length.

That car and John's accomplishments were chronicled in many magazine articles and his sponsor's advertising throughout the late 90's.

In the business world John founded, grew and ultimately sold a successful financial services firm specializing in domestic and offshore hedge fund administration. After transitioning the company into its new corporate parent, John ultimately retired from the hedge fund world.

In 2005, John decided it was time to create a unique new business based upon his lifelong love of automobiles, and fully committed himself to making XV Motorsports a reality.

Sean Hyland is the founder of Sean Hyland Motorsport and is widely regarded as the leading expert on the modern 4.6 and 5.4 Ford Modular Motors, having pioneered the development of this platform in the aftermarket for high performance and racing applications. His company was the first to develop high strength aftermarket engine components addressing weaknesses of the stock design. Top drag and road racers, which run the modular motors, have long been looking to Sean for their motors. Sean literally wrote the book on the build up of this platform for high performance and race applications.

In the summer of 2005, John Buscema contacted Sean about a new business he was starting to see if Sean would be interested in engineering some of what he needed; especially the development of the new 5.7 and 6.1 HEMI engines. John had known Sean for many years and worked closely with him in the development of his 205 MPH Mustang which Sean built all the engines for.

Sean thought John's concept for the business was excellent and was keen to get involved. Ultimately, the two agreed that Sean should become one of the principals of what would become XV Motorsports.

XV Motorsports has engaged some of the leading firms in their given areas of specialization to help with the design and engineering of our vehicles. We have been blown away by the enthusiasm and excitement these professionals have brought to our projects. In virtually every instance, the people involved found our entire premise to be a really exciting and unique concept.

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have been able to engage firms that truly are the leaders in their fields and which have brought to us expertise and technology far beyond what we had ever expected.

Perhaps most exciting to us, is that virtually all of the people involved in the engineering of our vehicles and support systems, have been involved in competitive motorsports in many different and diverse venues. That experience and the discipline it requires is invaluable to our goals.
