XV Motorsports is developing a 6-speed manual transmission kit for the 5.7 and 6.1 HEMI engine platform. We have already developed a bellhousing to mate the transmission to these motors and will be developing complete installation kits for Classic B and E body Mopars.

The transmission pictured is an upgraded Viper Spec T-56, with triple cone synchros to allow high RPM shifting at wide open throttle. The bellhousing pictured will mate to a 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI. This setup will be installed in XV001, our first production vehicle built, which is scheduled for completion by the end of April 2006 and will be unveiled on the last episode of Dream Car Garage's 2006 season which airs in May.

We undertook the development of this transmission package as the 6-speed T56 is extremely strong and will be able to handle the output of the engine packages we are developing. A six speed also allows greater flexibility in gearing the cars since it has two overdrive gears and is the ultimate high performance solution for the street and open track road race applications.
