One of the major limiting factors in the performance potential of the 5.7 and 6.1 HEMI engines are the factory intake manifolds. In 2005 XV Motorsports began development of a true, non-compromised, high performance intake manifold for these engines. However, the manifold was not intended for use directly on production vehicles; rather it was designed to be used for engine swaps into a wide range of other vehicles and for dedicated racing applications.
With the introduction of the XV Induction Packages for LX Ram and Jeep, XV Motorsports has addressed every major application issue in utilizing this true high performance intake manifold on production vehicles, opening the door to unprecedented levels of performance. This was done as a complete engineered solution and designed with looks that match its performance potential.
Perhaps most importantly, the entire package delivers a solid foundation of components that can grow with the performance level of your application and offers a wide range of directions you can choose to make more power.
Some of the most important features and benefits of the XV Induction Packages are:
THROTTLE BODY MOUNTS IN STOCK LOCATION
Our inlet adapter accepts the stock throttle body and mounts it in the stock location. This allows you to use your existing throttle body and all factory inlet ducting, or aftermarket cold air kits will hook right up. Additionally, centrifugal supercharger and turbo kits will also mount right up and these applications can take full advantage of the improved flow the XV Intake manifolds offer.
NO HIGHER THAN STOCK INTAKE MANIFOLD
The components were designed to be no higher than the factory intake manifolds these vehicles come equipped with.
90MM INLET OPENING
The throttle body mounting flange on the XV Throttle Body to Intake Adapter was designed with a 90MM inlet opening, as opposed the 80MM inlet opening on all 5.7 and 6.1 applications. This provides the basis for throttle body upgrades down the road. We have also incorporated a dual mounting pattern on the flange which accepts a cable driven billet 90MM throttle body for applications that wish to eliminate drive by wire.
BILLET FUEL RAILS THAT SUPPORT OVER 1,000 HP
XV has several Fuel Rail kits for our intake manifolds that at their foundation utilize our custom billet rails that will support over 1,000 HP and utilize race quality -8AN aluminum fittings and braided hose. If you outgrow the capacity of the factory fuel system, the XV Fuel Rails can be plumbed directly into a full race fuel system. The rails can be mounted in two positions on our manifolds, lower for factory injectors and in the upper position for use with a wide range of taller aftermarket injectors. We’ve gone to our own custom extrusion and had them black anodized, with the XV logo laser engraved.

DIRECT HOOKUP TO FACTORY FUEL LINES
Vehicles originally equipped with a 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI use “quick connect” fittings and lines to transfer fuel from the body mounted fuel lines to the fuel rails on the factory intake manifolds. To make installation of our induction package as seamless and easy as possible, XV Motorsports designed and manufactured a custom billet aluminum fitting that is “quick connect” on one end (just like the factory fuel rails) and -8AN on the other. With this fitting, our fuel rails literally plug right into the factory fuel lines in your vehicle. If you want a full race fuel system later on, just eliminate that one fitting and you are ready to go.

4150 MOUNTING FLANGE
The XV Intake Manifolds utilize a standard 4150 style mounting flange. This is the flange where the Throttle Body to Intake Adapter mounts on the intake itself. A great benefit of this configuration is it allows the use of plate style nitrous oxide systems for big power gains. To facilitate those gains, XV Motorsports has put together a complete, direct bolt on 100 to 300 HP nitrous system that interfaces with the factory throttle body and plumbs directly to our fuel rails. This allows for the addition of 100 to 300 HP over a weekend. The nitrous kit is all in black as well to match the killer looks of the XV Induction Package.
EGR, PCV, BREATHER, VACCUM HOOKUP
XV has gone to great lengths to ensure you can retain all your emissions control equipment. We have addressed integrating and retaining EGR, PCV, breather and vacuum to make installation as complete, seamless and easy as we could, while preserving your emissions control equipment for applications that want to retain it. DUAL MOUNTING PATTERN
The XV Throttle Body to Intake Adapter was designed with a mounting pattern that allows it to be clocked in 90° increments. This allows the adapter to work with 5.7 HEMI truck based applications, like the RAM pickup. The inlet adapter mounts the throttle body in the correct orientation, but requires a 1” spacer to clear the coil packs.


FULLY OPTIMIZED AIRFLOW
Our throttle body to intake adapter was designed for optimized and maximum airflow. Every bend, radius and transition was calculated and refined by our engineers to optimize airflow. The XV throttle body to intake adapter was designed to flow over 1,400 CFM. This piece mated to the XV single plane intake manifold is certain to open the next chapter in 5.7 and 6.1 HEMI performance.
FOUNDATION COMPONENTS
At the heart of the XV Induction Packages is performance that was designed and engineered into each of the key components. One of the things we believe very strongly in is delivering pieces that grow with your application and don’t need to be replaced with the next round of mods. Take the time to look, and you will see that these pieces are true foundation building blocks that grow with your performance level, offer numerous upgrade paths and allow you to extract the full performance potential of other modifications. These pieces were designed to be part of a total performance solution right on up to max effort, full race applications.
ALL COMPONENTS IN BLACK
From the inception of this project we realized this was an opportunity to give our customers products with looks that would make them stand out from the rest of the crowd and that they would be proud to display. Throughout the entire design and engineering process we remained focused on delivering something that not only performed, but had looks to match. Virtually all of the components in our induction kits are black and we’ve upgraded our intake manifolds so that all come with an epoxy based textured black powder coat finish that is not only durable but looks great. We’ve also made sure to include the XV Logo on our intake manifold, throttle body to intake adapter and our fuel rails. Now you can have a reason to want to raise your hood and is certain to draw crowds.
