The XV EGR Install Kit is a component of the XV Induction Packages for LX, RAM and Jeep applications.

The kit provides all the components to retain the factory EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) on vehicles originally equipped with this system, when using the XV Throttle Body to Intake Adapter on a 5.7 HEMI application.

Most 5.7 HEMI powered Car and truck applications come with an EGR valve that recirculates a portion of the exhaust gases back into the intake manifold for emissions purposes. Our kits are designed to retain use of the factory EGR system when using an XV Intake manifold on one of these applications.

The kits include a stainless steel fitting that threads into a port on the XV Throttle Body to Intake Adapter, black high-temp silicone hose and stainless steel cushioned clamps designed to work with the silicone hose, to provide a clean and straightforward installation. Detailed instructions are included with this kit.

To determine if your application came equipped with an EGR valve is simple. Look at the passenger side cylinder head on your engine. If there is a tall cylindrical component mounted to the head with an electrical connector and a steel tube running from it to your intake manifold, your engine is equipped with an EGR valve.

The kits are offered in two configurations: Car and Truck. There are two basic timing covers used on the 5.7. The "Truck" version which mounts the alternator and A/C up high and the “Car” version which mounts the alternator and A/C down low. Jeeps, use the car setup, where RAM pickups use the Truck version. 2010 RAM has a different arrangement we have not confirmed fitment as yet.
